“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.” Isaiah 61:1-3.
“And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him— The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and strength, The Spirit of knowledge and of the [reverential and obedient] fear of the Lord.” Isaiah 11:2 [Amplified].
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8.
The Scriptures say that we are ambassadors of Christ. As ambassadors of Christ, we are called to share the good news of the Kingdom of God with others. But we can’t do God’s work by our natural strength only, “‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD of hosts.” Zechariah 4:6.
The Holy Spirit is our senior partner in witnessing Christ to the unsaved around us because He searches the deep things, even the depths of God. He knows what we don’t, and we get the best results if we yield ourselves to Him.
Among others, the Holy Spirit does the following in and through us to effectively enforce the Will of the Father on the earth today and win souls to Christ.
Haggai 1:14 – “So the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and worked on the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,”
Acts 2:4 – “And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8.
He tells us or impresses on our hearts, the best strategy to use in winning a soul to Christ because He searches all things, even the deep things of God. “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” John 14:26.
1 Corinthians 2:10 – “But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.”
“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.” Romans 8:26-27.
“And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:” John 16:8.
Acts 2:2-4, 41 – “And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.”
Acts 13:7-12 – “The governor invited Barnabas and Saul to visit him, for he wanted to hear the word of God. But Elymas, the sorcerer (as his name means in Greek), interfered and urged the governor to pay no attention to what Barnabas and Saul said. He was trying to keep the governor from believing. Saul, also known as Paul, was filled with the Holy Spirit, and he looked the sorcerer in the eye. Then he said, “You son of the devil, full of every sort of deceit and fraud, and enemy of all that is good! Will you never stop perverting the true ways of the Lord? Watch now, for the Lord has laid his hand of punishment upon you, and you will be struck blind. You will not see the sunlight for some time.” Instantly mist and darkness came over the man’s eyes, and he began groping around begging for someone to take his hand and lead him. When the governor saw what had happened, he became a believer, for he was astonished at the teaching about the Lord.”
Acts 8:26-39, Acts 13:48 – “Now when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and glorified the word of the Lord. And as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed.”
Jesus, upon His ascension, promised to send to us a Helper (and He has sent us His Holy Spirit), who is the Spirit of Truth. One of the Holy Spirit’s missions is to guide us into all truths, including the Word of God. Jesus speaking, said, “I still have much to tell you, but you cannot yet bear to hear it. However, when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak what He hears, and He will declare to you what is to come. He will glorify Me by taking from what is Mine and disclosing it to you. Everything that belongs to the Father is Mine. That is why I said that the Spirit will take from what is Mine and disclose it to you.” John 16:12-15.
He is our biggest resource in this end time to get anything done, especially the things of God.
So have you received the Holy Spirit since you believed? If you haven’t, ask Jesus to baptize you with the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38 – “Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
John the Baptist also said in Matthew 3:11, “I baptize you with water for repentance, but after me will come One more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.” Jesus is the baptizer, so ask Him to fill you with His Holy Spirit today.
Take advantage of the gift and person of the Holy Spirit to live a victorious life from today.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope this has blessed you. See in the next post.
**If you asked Jesus to baptize you with the Holy Spirit, believe that you have received Him, and you will manifest His works in your life.
